பேய் படங்களை பின்னாடி நான் சொல்லப்போற சில விஷயங்களை வைத்து ஈஸியாக எடுத்துவிடலாம். தூரத்துல ஒரு நாய் ஊ… என்கிற ரேஞ்சில்தான் ஆரம்பிக்கும். சரி நம் கதைக்கு வருவோம்.

படத்தில் எந்த நாயகன் ஹீரோவாக நடித்தாலும் பேய் படத்தின் முதல் நாயகன் குறிப்பிட்ட ஒரு குடும்பம் வசிக்கப் போகும் ஒரு இடம்தான். ஹாலிவுட், பாலிவுட், கோலிவுட், வக்காளிவுட்… அட ஆமா நிஜமாவே வக்காளிவுட்னு ஒரு இண்டஸ்ட்ரி இருக்கின்றது. உகாண்டா ஊரின் சினிமா இண்டஸ்ட்ரி பெயர்தான் வக்காளிவுட். அப்படி, எந்த வுட்டை எடுத்துக்கொண்டாலும் பேய் படம் ஆரம்பிக்கும் போது மங்களகரமாக ஆரம்பிக்கும் அல்லது அந்த பேய் நடமாடும் இடத்தை சுருக்கமாக காட்டி கதையை நம்மிடையே கடத்த முற்படுவார்கள். பின்னர் பேய் நடமாட்டம் இருக்கும் அதே வீட்டில் ‘புது பங்களா வாங்கியிருக்கேன்’ என்கிற மிதப்போடு ஒரு குடும்பம் குடிவருவார்கள். ஹீரோவும் அதில்தான் இருப்பார். காஞ்சனாவில் ஆரம்பித்து கான்ஜூரிங் வரைக்கும் இதுதான் பேசிக்.
அமானுஷ்ய சக்தி
இது இரண்டாவது விஷயம். முதலில் சொன்னதுபோல் குடும்பத்தோடு பேய் நடமாட்டம் இருக்கும் வீட்டிற்கு குடி வந்த பிறகு சந்தோஷமாகத்தான் அன்றாட நாட்கள் போய்கொண்டிருக்கும். அதன் பிறகு சின்ன சின்னதாக சில அமானுஷ்யங்கள் அரங்கேறும் அறிகுறிகள் தெரியும். சம்பந்தமே இல்லாமல் வீட்டில் இருக்கும் நாய் குறிப்பிட்ட ஒரு இடத்தைப் பார்த்து குரைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும். கிச்சனில் இருக்கும் ஜாமான் திடீரென கீழ விழும். குழந்தையின் அழுகுரல் கேட்கும். க்ளாப் சத்தம் கேட்கும். இப்படி சின்ன சின்ன அறிகுறிகளோட பேய், தன் விளையாட்டை ஆரம்பிக்கும்.
இரவு நேர பேய் லீலைகள்
அது என்னவோ தெரியவில்லை பேய்கள் அறிகுறிகள் கொடுப்பது பகலாக இருந்தால் முழு தரிசனம் தருவதற்கு இரவு நேரத்தைத்தான் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும். சின்ன சின்ன அறிகுறிகளுக்கு பின்னர் நல்லிரவு தூக்கத்தில் இருப்பவர்களை ஒரண்டை இழுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும். கால்களைப் பிடித்து இழுப்பது, திடீரென முகத்துக்கு முன்னே தோன்றுவது, ஃப்ரிட்ஜில் தண்ணீர் குடிக்க வரும்போது அதன் அருகே நின்று ஐஸ் பால் விளையாடுவது, கறுப்பு உருவம் அல்லது நிழலைக் காட்டி பயமுறுத்துவது… இப்படி பல ரூபங்களில் வந்து பேய் தன்னுடைய இருப்பைப் பதிவு செய்துவிட்டுப் போகும்.
மீடியம்
பேய்களுக்கு மீடியம் தேவைப்படும். அதற்கு அளவு எடுத்து செய்து எடுத்தவராக அந்த வீட்டிலே ஒருவர் இருப்பார். பேயின் இருப்பு உறுதியான பின்னர், அதற்கான விடை தேடி வீட்டார் அனைவரும் எதையாவது செய்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள். அந்த சமயம் யாருடைய உடலுக்குள் புகுந்து தன்னுடைய தேவையை பூர்த்தி செய்ய நினைப்பதோடு புகுந்தவரின் உயிருக்கே உலை வைக்க நினைக்கும். ‘நான் பாட்டுக்கு செவனேன்னுதான டா இருந்தேன்’ என்றபடி பேய் செய்யும் அட்ராசிட்டிகளை உள்ளே இருந்து அவர் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்.
நான்தான் இருக்கேன்ல!
பேய் இப்படி விளையாட்டுகளை செய்துகொண்டிருப்பது குடும்பத்தார்களைத் தவிர வெளி நபர் ஒருவருக்கும் கட்டாயம் தெரிந்திருக்கும். அந்த கதாபாத்திரம்தான் பேய் விரட்ட சில சடங்குகளை செய்யக்கூடியவராக இருப்பார். இன்னும் சொல்லப்போனால் பேய் விரட்டுபவர். இந்த வீட்டுக்குப் பேய் வந்திருப்பது முன்னாடி தெரிந்து வீட்டின் முணையில் காத்துக்கொண்டிருப்பது போல தயார் நிலையில் இருப்பார். குடும்பத்தார் இவரது உதவியை நாடி இவரது இடத்தில் காலடி வைத்தாலே போதும், ‘உங்க வீட்டுல பேய் உள்ளதா… நாங்க இருக்கோம்’ என்றபடி தாயம், சோவி, தகுடு, விபூதி, ஒரு சாக்பீஸ் என கையில் கிடைக்கும் அத்தனை பொருட்களையும் எடுத்து தவசி பட மயில்சாமியைப் போல் பேய் முன் கையில் விபூதியோடு நின்று விடுவார்கள். அதன் பின்னர் அந்த பேயின் தேவையைக் கேட்டு தெரிந்துகொள்வார்.
ஃபைனல் டெஸ்ட்
பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு நபர் பேயாக இருந்தால் படத்தின் க்ளைமாக்ஸில் அதற்கு நடந்த அநியாயத்தை ஹீரோ தட்டி கேட்டிருப்பார். இங்கிலீஷ் பேயாக இருந்தால் அந்த பேயின் வாம்சாவளியே அந்த இடத்தில்தான் சுற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்கும். வெவ்வேறு பார்ட்களின் கதைகளுக்கும் அடுத்தடுத்து அந்த பேய் குடும்பம் யூஸ் ஆகும். ஃபைனல் டெஸ்ட்டாக சில சடங்கு சம்பிரதாயங்கள் அந்த சமயம் நடைபெறும். சில வரலாற்று குறிப்புகளோடும், ஃப்ளேஷ்பேக்குகளும் அரங்கேறும். பேய் ஒரு உடலுக்குள் நுழைந்திருக்கும் அல்லவா அந்த நபர் பத்திரமாக மீட்கப்படுவார். ‘நான் இப்ப எங்க இருக்கேன்’ என்றபடி அந்த நபரும் புதிதாய் பிறந்து எழுவார். இரவில் நடைபெறும் இந்த ஃபைனல் டெஸ்ட் பிரச்னையெல்லாம் முடிந்த பின்னர் விடிந்துவிடும். பார்வையாளர்களுக்கும் அது ஒருவித பாசிடிவ் வைபைக் கடத்தி படத்துக்கு இனிதே சுபம் போட்டுவிடுவார்கள்.
