திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் 1976ம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 3-ம் தேதி பிறந்த வீணா ஜார்ஜ், பல்வேறு முன்னணி கேரள செய்தித் தொலைக்காட்சிகளில் 16 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக பத்திரிகையாளராகப் பணியாற்றியவர். பெற்றோர் பி.இ.குரியாகோஸ் – ரோஸம்மா குரியாகோஸ். இவரது கணவர் முனைவர் ஜார்ஜ் ஜோசப், உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளி ஆசிரியராகப் பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். மேலும், மலங்கரா ஆர்தோடக்ஸ் சிரியன் சர்ச்சின் செயலாளராகவும் அவர் இருக்கிறார். இந்தத் தம்பதிக்கு இரண்டு குழந்தைகள் இருக்கின்றனர். கேரள பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இயற்பியலில் முதுகலைப் பட்டம் மற்றும் பி.எட் படிப்பை அவர் முடித்திருக்கிறார். இயற்பியல் படிப்பில் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்றவர் இவர்.

மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியின் மாணவர் அமைப்பான எஸ்.எஃப்.ஐ உறுப்பினராகப் பல ஆண்டுகள் பயணித்தவர். 2016ம் ஆண்டு சட்டப்பேரவைத் தேர்தலில் பத்தினம்திட்டா மாவட்டத்தில் இருக்கும் ஆரன்முளா தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி இவருக்கு வாய்ப்பு வழங்கியது. அதில், காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் சீனியர் வேட்பாளரான சிவதாஸன் நாயரை 7,646 வாக்குகள் வித்தியாசத்தில் வீழ்த்தி கட்சியின் நம்பிக்கையைப் பெற்றார். 2019 நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் பத்தினம்திட்டா தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்ட அவர், காங்கிரஸ் வேட்பாளர் ஆண்டோ ஆண்டனியிடம் 44,234 வாக்குகள் வித்தியாசத்தில் தோல்வியைத் தழுவினார்.
2021 தேர்தலில் மீண்டும் ஆரன்முளா சட்டப்பேரவைத் தொகுதியில் களமிறங்கி, காங்கிரஸின் சிவதாஸன் நாயரை 19,003 வாக்குகள் வித்தியாசத்தில் வென்று தொடர்ச்சியாக இரண்டாவது முறையாக எம்.எல்.ஏவானார். இந்தமுறை அவருக்கு சுகாதாரத் துறை மற்றும் சமூக நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் பொறுப்பை கட்சி வழங்கியிருக்கிறது.
கே.கே.ஷைலஜா

21 அமைச்சர்கள் கொண்ட பினராயி விஜயன் 2.0 அமைச்சரவையில் பெரும்பாலும் புது முகங்களுக்கே வாய்ப்பு அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கேரள சி.பி.எம் கட்சியின் பொறுப்பு செயலாளர் விஜயராகவனின் மனைவி ஆர்.பிந்து, மூத்த தலைவரும் சதயமங்கலம் எம்.எல்.ஏவுமான சிஞ்சு ராணி ஆகியோருக்கும் அமைச்சர் பொறுப்பு அளிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. கே.கே.ஷைலஜாவுக்கு அமைச்சரவையில் இடம்கொடுக்காதது சர்ச்சையை ஏற்படுத்திய நிலையில், அவருக்கு தலைமைக் கொறடா பொறுப்பை கேரள மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி கொடுத்திருக்கிறது.
