செந்தில் பாலாஜி கைது
அதிமுக ஆட்சியில் போக்குவரத்துத் துறை அமைச்சராக இருந்தபோது செந்தில் பாலாஜி, அரசு போக்குவரத்துக் கழகங்களில் ஓட்டுநர், நடத்துநர் உள்ளிட்ட பணியிடங்களுக்கு பணம் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு வேலை வாங்கித் தருவதாக ஏமாற்றியதாகப் புகார் எழுந்தது. இந்தப் புகாரின் பேரில் செந்தில் பாலாஜி மீது மத்திய குற்றப்பிரிவு போலீஸார் 3 பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்தனர். இந்த வழக்குகள் அடிப்படையில் சட்டவிரோத பணபரிமாற்றத்தில் ஈடுபட்டதாக அமலாக்கத்துறை செந்தில்பாலாஜியை 2023 ஜூன் 14-ம் தேதி கைது செய்தது. இந்த வழக்கில் விசாரணைக் கைதியாகக் கடந்த 13 மாதங்களாக சிறையில் இருந்து வருகிறார் செந்தில் பாலாஜி.
ஜாமீன் மனு
இந்த வழக்கில் ஜாமீன் கோரி செந்தில் பாலாஜி தாக்கல் செய்த மனுக்களை விசாரணை நீதிமன்றம் மற்றும் சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றம் நிராகரித்த நிலையில், உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தில் அவர் தரப்பில் மனுத் தாக்கல் செய்யப்பட்டது. இந்த மனு, உச்ச நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதிகள் அபய் ஓகா மற்றும் அகஸ்டின் ஜார்ஜ் ஆகியோர் அடங்கிய அமர்வு விசாரித்து வருகிறது. இந்த விசாரணையில் பல்வேறு காரணங்களால் அமலாக்கத்துறை வாய்தா பெற்றுவருவதாக செந்தில் பாலாஜி தரப்பு குற்றம்சாட்டி வருகிறது.

இந்தநிலையில், ஜாமீன் கோரிய மனு மீதான விசாரணையின் இறுதி வாதம் உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தில் நடந்தது. அப்போது, “வழக்குக்கு சம்பந்தமில்லாத வாதங்களை எல்லாம் அமலாக்கத் துறை முன்வைத்து வருவதாக செந்தில் பாலாஜி தரப்பில் வாதம் முன்வைக்கப்பட்டது. ” என்று கூறப்பட்டது. அமலாக்கத் துறை தரப்பில், மாநில அரசு (தமிழக அரசு) மனுதாரர் செந்தில் பாலாஜிக்கு உதவி வருவதாக குற்றம்சாட்டியது.
விசாரணை தாமதமாவது பற்றி தனியாக குறிப்புகளை தாக்கல் செய்ய இருப்பதாக அமலாக்கத்துறை தெரிவித்தபோது, `நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் வழக்கு விசாரணைக்கு வரும்போது வெவ்வேறு விவகாரங்களை சுட்டிக்காட்டிக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறீர்கள். எங்களைப் பொறுத்தவரை சட்டவிரோத பணபரிமாற்ற தடுப்புச் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் இந்த விவகாரத்தில் விசாரணை நடைமுறைகளை தான் நாங்கள் விசாரிக்கிறோம்’ என நீதிபதிகள் தெளிவுபடுத்தினர். செந்தில் பாலாஜி விவகாரத்தில் விசாரணை எப்போது நிறைவடையும் என அமலாக்கத் துறைக்கு கேள்வி எழுப்பிய உச்ச நிதிமன்றம், வழக்கில் தீர்ப்பு தேதி குறிப்பிடப்படாமல் ஒத்திவைத்தது.
