நாங்க வந்து குணச்சித்திர நடிகர்களுக்கு விருது கொடுக்கப்போறோம்னு முதல்ல என்கிட்ட சொன்னாங்க. அதைக் கேட்டதும் நான் ஆச்சர்யப்பட்டேன். ஏன்னா நம்ம செல்வமணி சார் சொன்னமாதிரி, ஒரு படம்னு எடுத்துக்கிட்ட ஹீரோவுக்கு அவார்டு கொடுப்பாங்க; ஹீரோயின், டைரக்டர், கேமரா மேனுக்குக் கொடுப்பாங்க. சமீபமாத்தான் எடிட்டருக்கெல்லாம் கொடுக்க ஆரம்பிச்சிருக்காங்க. சப்போர்ட்டிங் ஆக்டர்ஸ்னு நாம இருப்போம். அவங்களையெல்லாம் மறந்துடுவாங்க. நாம வேடிக்கை பார்த்துட்டு அப்படியே இருப்போம். நமக்குக் கொடுக்கலைனா பரவாயில்லை. நம்ம கூட நடிச்சவங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்குறாங்களேனு இருக்கும்.

டைரக்டர் கட் சொன்னவுடனே, ஃபர்ஸ்ட் கிளாஸா பண்ணீங்கம்மானு சொல்வார்ல அதுதான் அவார்டு. அதோட சரி; அதுக்கப்புறம் நம்மளை யாரும் கூப்பிடுறதே கிடையாது. அந்த ஸ்பாட்ல கிடைக்குறதோட சரி. இப்போ முத்துக்காளை அண்ணன் வந்தாரு… இதோ இருக்காரே மனோகர் சார். அவர்கூட நடிக்கும்போதெல்லாம் சிரிப்பை அடக்கவே முடியாது. அந்த அளவுக்குப் பண்ணுவார். அவங்க பேரை எல்லாம் சொல்லும்போது அவ்வளவு சந்தோஷமா இருந்துச்சு… எல்லா இடத்திலும் ரெட் கார்ப்பெட் வெல்கம்தான் சொல்வாங்க.. ஆனால் இங்க Golden Carpet. வேற லெவல் அவார்டுங்க இது…’ என்று பாராட்டுகளைத் தெரிவித்தார்.
